FRESNO, Calif (FOX26) — Firefighters responded to fires at two different boarded-up buildings in Fresno just hours apart.
The first was around 8 p.m. on Sunday, and then the second was around 5 a.m. in Fresno’s Tower District, when neighbors reported smoke coming from a second-story duplex.
When fire crews arrived, they discovered a fire contained to two rooms on the second floor.
A total of 25 firefighters quickly brought the fire under control.

Fortunately, no one was found inside the building.
The area has seen suspicious activity involving homeless people, with multiple fires occurring previously, leading to the home being boarded up.
Authorities urge residents to report any individuals seen entering boarded-up homes.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
