Law enforcement sources tell ABC News that it appears there was some kind of argument, and the shooter opened fire on the victims.
SAN JOSE, Calif. — An arrest has been made in connection with a shooting that left three people injured at a Bay Area mall during the busy Black Friday holiday.
The San Jose Police Department shared a photo Monday of a person in handcuffs.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we got him,” read a Facebook post. “[Sunday] night SJPD located and arrested the suspect responsible for the triple shooting at Valley Fair Mall that occurred on November 28th. More information to follow.”
The shooting happened Friday at the Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara. A man, a woman and a 16-year-old girl were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The gunfire sent hundreds of people running for cover inside stores.
The mall reopened to shoppers Saturday with a noticeable police presence inside. Police have said the preliminary investigation indicates that that shooting is likely gang-related.
