OAKLAND, Maine (WABI) – The man who was inside an Oakland home when it exploded is still in the hospital recovering.
The explosion happened on Lakeview Drive around 3pm on Thanksgiving.
The Fire Marshal’s Office says investigators suspect a propane gas leak could be the cause.
They Waterville Sunrise Rotary Club says the man inside the home, 66-year-old Cliff Hannon, is the club’s President.
Hannon suffered serious injuries and was flown to a Portland hospital.
They say he is still intubated, but his kidneys are doing better.
He will have his first surgery this week.
They say he has a long battle ahead, but they have set up a way for anyone wanting to donate to Hannon and his family.
