BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the man killed after being struck by a vehicle near South H Street and Wilson Road as 34-year-old Adrien Matthiew Andino of Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Police Department said on November 25, 2025, at around 10:25 p.m., officers were called to the area of South H Street and Wilson Road regarding an injury crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

When officers arrived, they found Andino in the roadway. Emergency medical personnel responded and pronounced Andino dead at the scene.

Police said the driver, identified as a man and the sole occupant of the involved vehicle, remained on scene and cooperated fully with officers.

According to police, a preliminary investigation found that Andino was crossing the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound.

Speed and impairment are believed to be contributing factors in the crash, according to police.
