FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is announcing the birth of its cutest new member.
Southern White Rhinoceros, Kayla, gave birth to a female calf over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Both mom and baby are doing well and are under the care of the zoo’s veterinary teams.
The baby is the fifth rhino calf born to Kayla and male southern white rhino Tim.
The zoo says it’s happy to be part of the species conservation efforts.
