Adrien Andino Killed in Pedestrian Accident on H Street in Bakersfield

Authorities Identify Man Killed Crossing Near Intersection

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(Dec. 2, 2025) — Adrien Matthiew Andino, 34, of Bakersfield, died Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on South H Street, and investigators believe speed and impairment may have played a role, authorities said.

The Bakersfield Police Department reported that officers were called to the area of South H Street and Wilson Road at about 10:25 p.m. on November 25, 2025, for a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

When officers arrived, they found the young man lying in the roadway. Emergency medical personnel attempted to assist, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the involved vehicle, a man who was the only person in the car, stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers throughout the investigation.

According to a preliminary report, the pedestrian was crossing South H Street outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives work to determine the extent to which speed and possible impairment contributed to the fatal crash.
