FRESNO, Calif (FOX26) — The Central California Food Bank (CCFB) is set to break ground on its new Santé Volunteer Center, a 23,000-square-foot facility designed to enhance volunteer impact and strengthen hunger relief efforts across the region.
After three years of planning, the groundbreaking ceremony marks a significant milestone for CCFB, which relies on over 7,000 volunteers annually to sort produce, pack boxes, and feed neighbors in need.
The new center will feature expanded packing and sorting areas, training rooms, and a USDA-certified Protein Repack Room, all supported by the George & Melodie Rogers Foundation.
The Rogers family will announce their substantial contribution as the first supporters of CCFB’s Volunteer Center Capital Campaign.
The project aims to empower volunteers and transform hunger relief efforts for generations to come.
The groundbreaking takes place Tuesday morning at the Central California Food Bank, located at 4010 E. Amendola Dr., near Cedar and North Avenues in Fresno.
