BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Court documents revealed that a former employee of Del Oro High School allegedly engaged in sexual acts with a 15-year-old student while parked in the teacher’s parking lot on campus during two separate incidents.

Court documents indicate that Salvador Fabian, a former walk-on band coach, had a relationship with a 15-year-old student from Del Oro High School. Documents show that Fabian started working with the school in August.

Court documents said Fabian, 26, and the teen began talking between August and October. He allegedly met with the 15-year-old girl on two occasions and had sexual encounters in his car while parked on the Del Oro High School campus, according to court documents.

Fabian was arrested on Oct. 28 after an email was sent to a supervisor the day prior about his suspected inappropriate relationship on campus. At the time, the Kern High School District confirmed his employment as a walk-on band coach and placed him on administrative leave.

The district confirmed last month that he is no longer an employee.

Fabian pleaded not guilty on Nov. 25. He admitted in the documents that he knew she was 15 years old and knew the relationship was inappropriate. He acknowledged that the relationship was wrong to engage in since she was a minor.

Court records show that a warrant was issued on Nov. 20 for his arrest for failing to appear in court, and he was rearrested days later.

Fabian is due in court for preliminary hearings next week on Dec. 8 and 9.
