The United to End Homelessness initiative is inviting residents to participate in the rescheduled “Person in Front of You” community aerial photo event on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Originally planned for an earlier date, the event was postponed due to inclement weather, but organizers are optimistic that the new date will attract an even larger turnout.
This county-wide effort aims to shine a light on pressing issues surrounding housing and hunger in Orange County. Attendees will gather in Irvine to partake in a striking aerial photo, symbolizing solidarity and commitment to addressing these critical community concerns.
“The Person in Front of You is more than just a campaign; it’s a call to action,” said an event spokesperson. “We want to unite voices across the county to advocate for safe and affordable housing for everyone, reminding us that housing is a fundamental right.”
The event will also feature a special incentive for early participants. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive a limited-edition campaign t-shirt designed by renowned local artist Trevor Girard. T-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
In light of recent delays in CalFresh (food stamps) benefits, many families in the area are struggling with increased rates of hunger and housing instability. To address this urgent issue, the event will include a community food drive led by the OC Food Bank, encouraging attendees to bring non-perishable food items to support their neighbors in need.
Community members are urged to join the movement and be a part of this vital message for lasting solutions.
