A man was shot and killed inside his car this morning in the Tenderloin, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
Police officers responded at 6:12 a.m. to a report of a shooting on Turk Street near Jones and Taylor streets, just a block from the Powell Street BART station. The man was sitting in his car and was declared dead at the scene, according to a police statement.
No arrests have been made, and police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
The man’s identity has not yet been confirmed by the medical examiner’s office.
The shooting comes two days after a fatal shooting in SoMa. It brings the number of homicides in the city up to 28.
