BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a man accused of stealing a wallet from Trader Joe’s and using the victim’s bank cards.
Police said on July 12th, 2025, at about 1:10 p.m., the man allegedly stole a wallet from a woman’s purse at Trader Joe’s grocery store.
The subject was later seen on surveillance video at multiple stores using the stolen credit cards, making multiple purchases totaling over $1,000.
He is described as a man, wearing a black Nike SB strapback hat, black and gray Columbia brand Glennaker Lake II Rain Jacket, dark slacks and black dress shoes.
