Northeast gets season’s first major snowstorm as winter weather warnings issued

(TNND) — A powerful snowstorm swept into the U.S. Northeast on Tuesday, marking the season’s first major winter blast.

Ahead of the storm, the National Weather Service issued winter storm warnings and advisories across several states, including Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Connecticut, and New York. Snow fell steadily on Tuesday, though some areas saw less accumulation than forecasted.
