Natasha Mitchell, 44, a woman experiencing homelessness, was trying to cross Marconi Avenue when she was struck by a Toyota sedan, authorities said.

ARDEN-ARCADE, Calif. — An unhoused woman pedestrian died from a crash on Thanksgiving in Sacramento, county records show.

Natasha Leann Mitchell, 44, died Thursday from a crash on westbound Marconi Avenue, west of Burnece Street, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

Mitchell was unhoused, per coroner’s office records.

While crossing from the north side of the street to the south, she was hit by a Toyota sedan traveling in the right-most lane, the California Highway Patrol said.

The driver was a man in his 50s, authorities said.

DUI is not suspected, according to law enforcement.
