DOWNTOWN FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — It was a festive night at City Hall in Downtown Fresno.
A tree lighting ceremony marked the start of the month and kicked off holiday festivities.
Community members were able to curb the cold and grab some hot chocolate and cookies.
There were also crafts with stocking and ornament making.
Those in attendance say it’s a great event to get in the holiday spirit.
“It’s a great way to come after work and enjoy some holiday cheer and celebrate the city,” says Bobbie Garcia.
“What’s nice is that we get to do this with our son and grandson for free, not knowing it was free. So, it’s just exciting to get to come and celebrate the holiday spirit with everybody,” says Jessica Garcia-Reilly.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a proper tree lighting without Santa and Mrs. Claus there!
