Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen‘s Ebenezer Scrooge’s BIG San Diego Christmas Show is back at The Old Globe. And for the first time ever, Playbill has video highlights. Take a look at this year’s holiday run, led by James Joseph O’Neil in the title role, in the video below.

The production, opening November 25, continues through December 28.

The play sends Scrooge across the pond for a Christmas in sunny Southern California, re-imagining the holiday favorite with a fresh twist to the story known for generations. Greenberg and Rosen have devised the work to be customizable to theatres’ individual localities, with recent interations including Bucks County Playhouse’s Ebenezer Scrooge’s Big Playhouse Christmas Show and George Street Playhouse’s Ebenezer Scrooge’s Big Jersey Christmas Show.

O’Neil leads this year’s Old Globe cast in the title role, opposite Josh Breckenridge as Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley, Charles, and Mr. Fezzi; Will Carlyon as Fred, Young Scrooge, Medium Scrooge, and Tiny Tim; Susana Cordón as Prudence Saint, Lavinia, Ghost of Christmas Present, and Archibald; and Jacque Wilke as Gertrude Saint, Ghost of Christmas Past, Mrs. Cratchit, and Jennie. Understudies Juliette Cacciatore, Joshua David Cavanaugh, Melissa Glasgow, and Jake Millgard round out the company. Casting is by The TRC Company.

Greenberg is at the helm of the staging, which features scenic design by Adam Koch, costume design by David I. Reynoso, lighting design by Amanda Zieve, and sound design by Bart Fasbender. Anjee Nero is production stage manager.
