WASHINGTON (TNND) — MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell filed paperwork to run for governor Minnesota.
He has created a campaign committee in order to raise money, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune.
He said that he would officially announce if he was running or not on Dec. 11.
It was announced earlier this year that Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz will run for a third term for governor.
Aside from being the CEO of MyPillow, Lindell is also the owner of Mike Lindell Media Corp.
Other GOP candidates running for governor in Minnesota are Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth, attorney Chris Madel and state Rep. Kristin Robbins.
Earlier this year, Lindell told the Minnesota Star Tribune that he has the best shot at winning out of all the GOP candidates.
“If there was someone to win, it would be me,” he told the news outlet in October.
Lindell has had some controversies over the last few years. In July, a jury found him guilty of defaming a former employee of a leading voting equipment company, Dominion Voting Systems.
