BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Over 30 pounds of meth, guns, and suspected evidence of drug sales were allegedly found after multiple agencies served a search warrant near downtown Bakersfield. One person was arrested.

The Kern County District Attorney’s Office said on December 4, 2025, the DA’s Office Investigators, a special agent from the CDCR Special Service Unit, and a detective from the Bakersfield Police Department, served a search warrant in the 4000 block of O Street.

During the search of the apartment and an associated storage room, officers allegedly found over 30 pounds of methamphetamine, $14,000 in cash, two handguns, and evidence of drug sales.

According to the DA’s Office, 31-year-old Miguel Aldaco of Bakersfield, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm and various drug sales-related charges.

District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer commented by saying, “I’m proud of the dedicated work of the Bureau of Investigations and our law enforcement partners, who work tirelessly to remove harmful substances from our streets. Drugs are a catalyst for other crime in our community, and a seizure of this magnitude is a significant win for our residents.”

Aldaco posted bail on December 4, 2025.

The Kern County District Attorney’s Office said in a release, they will determine a filing decision before the tentative arraignment date set for December 29, 2025.
