Bears head to Sunnyvale, Calif.
Cal Competes in Final Regular-Season Meet of 2025
California cross country is set for its final meet of the season at the Bronco Invitational hosted by Santa Clara on Saturday. The Golden Bears will travel to the Baylands Regional Park in Sunnyvale, with the men lining up at 8:45 a.m. PT, followed by the women’s race at 9:30 a.m. PT. Â
Cal returns to the Bronco Invitational following an open-race stint last year. Sam Franco finished second in the open race, followed by Gabriel Rodriguez in third place.Â
On the women’s side, Amelia Wardle-Stacey finished in 13th place.Â
At last weekend’s Bill Dellinger Invitational, the men’s team took seventh place overall and the women’s team placed fifth. Following two title wins this season, junior Justin Pretre finished the Dellinger race in 27th place. On the women’s side, Sophie Tau crossed the line in eighth place with a personal best of 20:27.6. She was the Bears’ top finisher for the second time this season.Â
