A farm based in Dixon has issued a recall for eggs sold in Sacramento and Davis due to possible salmonella contamination, according to the California Department of Public Health. Vega Farms has issued a recall for its 12-count cartons and 30-count flats of eggs with sell-by dates of Dec. 22 and prior, or Julian dates of 328 and prior.According to the recall notice issued by CDPH, the eggs are mainly distributed in the Sacramento and Davis areas, including at restaurants and farmers markets.
