A boy is in the hospital after an overnight fire Tuesday, the Sacramento Fire Department said.Crews received a call of a house fire around 12:15 a.m. along Waterville Way near Hayground Way east of Highway 99, the fire department said.Firefighters who responded rescued the child from the home, and medical personnel took the child to the hospital with serious injuries, the fire department said. Just after 6:30 a.m., the fire department told KCRA 3 that the child’s “condition improved to stable.”It is unknown how the fire might have started or if others were home at the time, the fire department said.
