BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — With earthquakes bouncing around the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” including the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that rocked Japan, some tremors have been going on in recent days up and down California.

Interestingly enough, persistent quakes have been rumbling within the South Valley in Kings County since yesterday. Five have already occurred ranging in magnitude between 2.0 and 2.7.

We’ll continue to monitor this along with the tremors elsewhere in the state.

As always, it’s a good idea to review basic quake preparedness and go over what you would do if a strong earthquake occurred near you.
