Rapper, entrepreneur and Long Beach native.
Now Snoop Dogg can add one more title next to his name: first-ever honorary coach for Team USA.
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) announced Thursday that Snoop Dogg will be serving the volunteer role, “celebrating and supporting America’s athletes off the field of play.”
“Known for his passion for community, mentorship and elevating young people, Snoop will lend his signature humor and heart to help motivate Team USA athletes on their road to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 and beyond,” the USOPC said in a statement.
Snoop Dogg responded by saying he’s happy to bring “a little more love and motivation.”
“Team USA athletes are the real stars—I’m just here to cheer, uplift and maybe drop a little wisdom from the sidelines,” said Coach Snoop. “This team represents the best of what sport can be: talent, heart and hustle.
The new honorary coach appears to be doing his job already. The USOPC said Coach Snoop is helping to build awareness for the Team USA Fund, which provides direct resources to athletes, including supporting mental health, education, and training programs.
Snoop Dogg became a breakout star and a fixture of the Paris Olympics last year. He joined the torch relay during the opening ceremony.
He was also seen frequently at Team USA games, including women’s gymnastics and women’s beach volleyball.
