A former drug store on California Street earned itself praise from the Michelin Guide. Right next to sister restaurant Pizzetta 211 — often considered one of the better places to get pizza in the city — Pearl 6101 is one of the least braggy, most-focused restaurants in San Francisco.
Stepping out of the nippy west side weather into the low-lit restaurant, one feels like they’re in the belly of some storybook sailboat. The bar sits in the center of the place, a cadre of hip, friendly servers buzzing around. There’s plenty of outdoor seating at the corner restaurant, too.
You won’t get a walk-in at Pearl 6101 during primetime. For the Outer Richmond diners, this is their go-to. So make sure to nab a reservation.
