LAPD is searching for the thieves who broke into two Woodland Hills businesses early Thursday morning, leaving a trail of damage.

The owner of Cards & Coffee in Woodland Hills says the person who broke in stole $30,000 trading cards.

The break-in happened around 5 a.m. on the corner of an outdoor mall right off the 101 Freeway and Mulholland Drive.

The owners of the two impacted businesses say it started at the Medoncino Farms next door, where the thief managed to break a hole in the wall and made his way into the card store. The thieves made off with Pokémon and sports memorabilia, including Kobe, LeBron and Michael Jordan trading cards.

Last week, another shop was broken into in Burbank, where thieves stole nearly $100,000 worth of Pokémon and sports cards.

The owner of that shop says thieves were in and out within minutes. The burglars also found rare Kobe Bryant and Cristiano Ronaldo trading cards at the Burbank business.

“They started with the Pokémon side,” said Kit Nguyen, the owner of LA Sports Cards, adding that two people were seen combing through where the collectables are located.

The owner of Cards & Coffee says he is unsure if insurance will cover the losses.

For now, LAPD has not made an arrest.
