FRESNO, Calif. — Colorado State soccer (4-5-5, 2-3-2 MW) lost 1-0 to Fresno State (5-4-1, 1-3-2 MW) on Thursday night at the Fresno State Soccer Stadium.
Both teams limited scoring opportunities through the first half, with Colorado State goalkeeper Gray Willson making two saves to maintain a scoreless opening period.
The action picked up in the final 45 minutes, with each team recording five shots on goal.

Fresno State recorded the match’s only goal in the 77th minute when Laura Mas Serra scored from a corner kick. The Bulldogs continuously put pressure on the Rams in the second half with six corner kicks, including the one that decided the match.

CSU thought they tied the match in the 82nd minute when Mia Massey found the back of the net, but the play the called offside. The Rams’ intensity increased in the final eight minutes of the game, featuring a pair of corner kicks and shots each from Michaela McGowan and Jessica Shivers, but they were unable to find the equalizer.
