FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission (Fresno EOC) has announced the impending closure of its LGBTQ+ Resource Center.
The center will close on Saturday, December 27th, due to a lack of funding.
The center has offered support to the LGBTQ+ since 2019.

Misty Gattie Blanco, Fresno EOC Sanctuary Director, expressed gratitude for the City of Fresno’s previous support, which allowed the center to remain open longer than anticipated.
“We know how difficult this news is to hear,” she said. “We are thankful for the city’s partnership and remain hopeful future funding will allow the center to return.”
Despite the closure, Fresno EOC staff will continue to offer resources and community referrals.
