BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — CALM Zoo said a recent unauthorized social media post claiming a code for free HolidayLights tickets is invalid and will not be honored.

They released a statement which read in part:

It has come to our attention that the sponsor code “CRC2025” was recently circulated online by individuals not associated with CALM Zoo and used to obtain complimentary tickets for the HolidayLights event. While this was a legitimate sponsor code, it was not intended for public use, and its unauthorized distribution resulted in tickets being issued in error.Because these tickets were not purchased through an approved transaction, they are invalid and cannot be honored for tonight or for any other night of the 2025 HolidayLights season. Please note that no charges were processed for individuals who used this code. This issue affects only those who obtained tickets using the “CRC2025” code. All guests who purchased tickets through normal, authorized means are fully valid and will be honored for tonight’s event. We understand how disappointing this may be for families who were planning to attend, and we sincerely apologize for any confusion this situation has caused. The code was not publicly promoted by CALM Zoo, and once the issue was identified, the system was quickly corrected. As a nonprofit organization, CALM Zoo is grateful for the community’s continued support. Events like HolidayLights play a vital role in funding animal care, welfare, education programs, and the many community initiatives we offer throughout the year.

Officials thank the community for their understanding.
