BAKERSFIELD, Calif KBAK/KBFX — The Bakersfield Christian High School Eagles fell short in heartbreaking fashion at the Division 2-AA state championship game in Mission Viejo on Friday night.
The previously unbeaten Eagles rallied from a ten-point deficit against St. Mary’s of Stockton, only to see a potential game-tying field goal from 23 yards miss wide.
Eagles quarterback Lincoln Adame threw for almost 400 yards in the 27-24 loss.
