(FOX40.COM) — Nearly two weeks after a person died after being hit by a car in Sacramento, police arrested a suspect for alleged murder.

Around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 2, the Sacramento Police Department responded to reports of a person down in the roadway near Stockton Boulevard and Broadway. When officers arrived, they found a man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the victim had been struck by a vehicle. After an investigation, on Dec. 12, SPD arrested a 23-year-old man, John Rosario. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
