The Kansas City Chiefs will have to defeat the Los Angeles Chargers this afternoon if they intend to salvage their 2025 regular-season campaign.

At 6-7, the Chiefs’ chances of making the postseason are slim, but Kansas City isn’t totally out of the playoff race just yet.

With a win over Los Angeles in Week 15, the Chiefs could potentially catapult themselves back into contention with just a few games left to be played.

This week, Chiefs Wire sat down with Gavino Borquez of Chargers Wire to get the inside scoop on Los Angeles before today’s contest.

Take a look at Borquez’s answers to our top questions below:

Need a news break? Check out the all new PLAY hub with puzzles, games and more!Is Justin Herbert ready for the spotlight of the NFL Playoffs?

“Herbert has shown that he can overcome a battered offensive line. See last week against the Eagles. After falling short to the Texans in the Wild Card round last year, I believe Herbert is equipped to win at least a game in the playoffs.”

How did Los Angeles orchestrate its 2025 turnaround?

“Complementary football. It helps that Herbert is a machine. And along with him, the defense has played a really good brand of football this season to keep the team in games.”

Who has been the Chargers’ most improved defender this season?

“CB Donte Jackson. Jackson has been an integral part of Jesse Minter’s defense. He is one interception shy from tying his career best, and he’s already topped his passes defended (12).”

Final score prediction: Who wins and why?

“The Chargers haven’t won in Arrowhead Stadium since 2021 and I think that streak continues. Los Angeles is going to need some production from the passing game and I don’t know if Herbert is still 100%. Even though the Chiefs are a long shot to make the playoffs, I think Patrick Mahomes keeps their hopes alive in a cold and low-scoring game.”
