Friday night college football action continues in Logan, Utah, with a Mountain West showdown between San Jose State (2-4, 1-1 MWC) and Utah State (3-3, 1-1 MWC).
The Spartans enter this one coming off a frustrating road loss at Wyoming, while the Aggies are looking to end a two-game skid of their own, which has featured back-to-back three-score losses against Vanderbilt and Hawaii. Both teams are hoping to get above .500 in conference play on Friday night.
If you are looking for some betting advice for the matchup, we’ve got you covered. Here are the latest odds for the game, courtesy of BetMGM.

This feels like a pretty even matchup on paper, hence the spread. Both these teams are solid offensively, at least in the passing game with Utah State’s Bryson Barnes and San Jose State’s Walker Eget. Neither is as good defensively, and the Spartans’ unit ranks in the bottom third of the FBS in defensive success rate.
Utah State struggles mightily against the run, but that’s less of a concern against an SJSU team averaging just over 100 yards per game on the ground. Meanwhile, the Spartans’ defense has more issues defending the passing game.
This feels like a potential shootout, but I like the matchup for the Aggies.
Prediction: Utah State 35, San Jose State 28
