The NFL regular season is down to three games for each team. And the stakes are getting bigger.
Week 16 will feature key divisional battles and conference matchups that will make a tight playoff picture clearer in each conference.
So, what will the upcoming slate look like? Here’s the full schedule:
The week will kick off with the 11-3 Los Angeles Rams at the 11-3 Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football, with both teams aiming for first in both the NFC and NFC West. Los Angeles has already clinched the first NFC playoff berth, so Seattle QB Sam Darnold will need to anchor a convincing performance.
There will also be two games on Saturday as the holiday season approaches. The first will feature the 9-5 Philadelphia Eagles at the 4-10 Washington Commanders, where Marcus Mariota will be QB1 for the rest of the season given Jayden Daniels’ injury woes. Then Jordan Love and the 9-4-1 Green Bay Packers will be at the 10-4 Chicago Bears, where Caleb Williams will hope to give his team a cushion in the NFC North.
On Sunday, important games during the day include the 7-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the 7-7 Carolina Panthers, with the winner taking control of the NFC South down the stretch. The 10-4 Jacksonville Jaguars will later be at the 12-2 Denver Broncos. Jacksonville is hoping to make a statement amid its stay atop the AFC South, while Denver is aiming to move one step closer to securing the AFC’s No. 1 seed.
NBC’s Sunday Night Football is an AFC matchup, as the 11-3 New England Patriots will head to the 7-7 Baltimore Ravens. Drake Maye and Co. will need to show how they respond to adversity following the end to their 10-game win streak, while Lamar Jackson and Co. are hoping to stay in the AFC North title race.
Monday Night Football will end the week with the 10-4 San Francisco 49ers traveling to the ailing Indianapolis Colts. Indianapolis has stunningly fell to 8-6 after a 7-1 start, though injuries have become a big factor — so much so that 44-year-old Philip Rivers will make his second straight start after a stunning return from retirement. A loss would hurt either team’s goals this season.
