The California High-Speed Rail Authority has issued an invitation to bid on a construction contract for the retrofitting and restoration of the Fresno Depot.

The successful party would also be responsible for utility relocations and connections, demolition, ADA improvement, park/plaza space development, multimodal parking and EV charging at the future station downtown H and G Street entrances.

A webinar was held by the Authority to discuss the needs of the construction contract in September, which can be viewed here.

The expected schedule for the contract includes a Pre-Bid Conference, Job Walk and Small Business Workshop on 18 December 2025, which will involve a Pre-Bid (In-Person or Virtual) session between 09:00 and 10:00, a Job Walk (In-Person) from 10:00 to 12:00, a Lunch between 12:00 and 13:00 and a Small Business Workshop (In-Person or Virtual) from 13:00 to 14:00.

Bid advertisement began on 10 December, with all bids for the contract due by 12:00 on 09 February 2026 and notice expected in March.

The contract itself is expected to have a duration of 2 years and cost an estimated 50 million USD.
