Police are looking for a man who rammed into a patrol vehicle Sunday and drove at a high rate of speed before crashing in Fresno.

An officer conducted a traffic stop at 3:45 p.m. near Ingram and Herndon avenues. The officer made contact with a woman driver and a man in the passenger seat.

An officer in the area located the speeding vehicle south of Highway 41 at Ashlan Avenue.

The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, but was unsuccessful and lost sight of the vehicle.

Police said the man attempted to exit Highway 41 at Jensen Avenue, but lost control of the vehicle and crashed with another vehicle.

The man fled on foot and has not been detaineed, police said. A search in the vehicle found a loaded gun.

The other driver had minor injuries, police said.
