The Athenaeum Library of Music and Arts held its members’ holiday party this month, and a Charles Dickens-worthy festive event it was.
Guests enjoyed pianoside Christmas caroling, a cookie village display by Girard Gourmet that started disappearing cookie by cookie, a bountiful buffet also by Girard Gourmet, and oh, that eggnog!
The Athenaeum is generously supported by the community as well as the Dr. Seuss Fund, the Conrad Prebys Foundation, and Las Patronas.
Also supported by Las Patronas is the St. Germaine Children’s Charity, which held its annual Silver Tea at a top-secret location in La Jolla.
Amid the home’s splendor were a few hundred of San Diego’s chic crowd enjoying traditional tea, a bit of wine, and lovely cucumber and egg sandwiches, with sweet treats!
