Float entries being accepted for Bakersfield Christmas Parade

We haven’t yet reached Halloween but some local organizations have Christmas on their minds.

As the Bakersfield Christmas Parade Committee puts the finishing touches on this year’s entry process, it is still accepting entries for floats for the 2025 parade, which will take place Dec. 4.

“We’ve got 105 to fill and space for more entries in all the parade categories,” parade coordinator Sylvia Cariker said in a news release. “We’re accepting marching or walking groups, dance groups, bands, vehicles and, of course floats. And those floats can be of any design but we’re hoping they will embrace our parade theme this year of ‘A Family Christmas.’”

Entry applications are available on the parade website bcparade.com with an entry deadline of Oct. 24 at 4:30 p.m.

The Bakersfield Christmas Parade will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4 through downtown Bakersfield.
