Bakersfield PD searches for suspect who allegedly removed purse from open vehicle

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect who allegedly took a purse from a vehicle at a car wash in southwest Bakersfield.

The alleged incident was reported Oct. 2 at the Mister Car Wash located in the 4900 block of Gosford Road when the suspect removed a purse from an open vehicle, according to police.

At the time of the incident, the suspect — who is possibly male — was wearing all-black clothing, according to police. The suspect vehicle is described as a gray Toyota Camry with paint oxidization and a sunroof.
