Bear Valley police seize stolen packages, seek to return mail to rightful owners

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A suspect accused of stealing several packages in Bear Valley Springs was arrested Wednesday, said police.

On Dec. 17, 2025, Bear Valley police officers received a report of abandoned packages in Tehachapi, many of which had a Bear Valley mailing address on them.

Officers obtained surveillance video from a nearby business and identified a suspected vehicle connected to the packages. Later that day, officers found the vehicle being driven in Bear Valley Springs and stopped the driver.

Inside the vehicle, officers found several packages that appeared to have been recently taken from homes in Bear Valley Springs. The driver was arrested, and the packages were seized.
