FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Police are searching for the gunman who opened fire at a man in his car following an argument in northeast Fresno.

Officers say the shooting happened around 7 p.m. Thursday in the area of Santa Ana and First, which is across the street from Fashion Fair Mall.

Investigators say a man in his late 20s drove past a group of men and an argument broke out.

The argument eventually led one of the men to open fire on the victim’s car.

The victim was hit at least once in his legs by the gunfire and is expected to be okay.

Detectives say the suspects fled on foot and there is no indication that anyone involved came from the mall.

Fresno Police are now canvassing the area for surveillance footage to help with their investigation.
