BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Northbound Highway 99 near White Lane is facing delays after at least one person was killed Thursday evening, according to CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page.
It happened at 6:25 p.m. when a person reportedly began jumping in front of vehicles on northbound Highway 99, just north of White Lane. It’s unknown what led to the death of the person at this time.
At least one lane remains open.
Avoid the area, if possible.
It’s unknown when the area will reopen at this time. The coroner has been notified.
The identity of the person will be released at another time by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
