Man accused of killing Oakland County restaurant manager bound over to circuit court

  • December 19, 2025

COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The man accused of shooting a restaurant manager to death outside his workplace has been bound over to circuit court.

In November, 65-year-old Tonin Pjetri was charged with murder in the death of Franco Shkambi.

The shooting happened Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at the Prime 7 restaurant on Cooley Lake Road in Commerce Township.

Police said they were called to the restaurant and found Francesk Shkambi, 44, of Howell, lying on the patio.

He was given aid and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries, authorities said.

Police said they were investigating the shooting when they learned that someone had driven to the Farmington Hills Police Department and turned himself in.

That man was later identified as Pjetri, a Farmington Hills resident. He was charged with first-degree murder and felony firearm.

On Thursday, Dec. 19, Pjetri was bound over to circuit court, where he is expected to face trial.

If he’s convicted, Pjetri could face life in prison.
