A man was sent to the hospital in critical condition after being assaulted on Thursday night, police say.
Clovis Police Officers responded to the area of Bartsow and Highway 168 just before 1 a.m.
Officers then found a severely injured man on the canal south of Peach and Willow.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.
A person has been arrested and faces felony aggravated battery charges.
