Fresno State basketball is returning to Selland Arena for one night of nostalgia in downtown Fresno.
Known as “Grant’s Tomb” for the late and legendary head coach Boyd Grant, Selland Arena was the longtime home of Bulldog basketball from 1966 until 2003, when the Save Mart Center opened on campus.
That arena has never been able to match the atmosphere of the games at Selland.
Fans were packed-in every night, giving the Bulldogs a dramatic homecourt advantage.
They played some of their best games at Selland, especially when Hall of Famer Jerry Tarkanian was head coach at his alma mater.
The return to Selland is set for November 30th against Cal State Bakersfield.
