Children and their families were in the holiday spirit this weekend in Downtown Long Beach.
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine, in collaboration with the Long Beach Public Library, hosted Winter Fest, a free community event at Lincoln Park and the Billie Jean King Main Library on Saturday, Dec. 20.
Attendees participated in holiday and winter-themed activities. From drinking hot chocolate to trying a hand at ice fishing, there was something for everyone. Winter Fest offered an opportunity for youth to decorate holiday cookies, create breaded holiday mementos, face painting, and more.
During the event, children had the opportunity to meet and take a photo with Santa Claus. There was also a festive storytime that helped fill everyone with holiday cheer.
