Heavy rain is bringing standing water on Bay Area roads Monday morning.
Storms are forecasted through Christmas, likely bringing more flooding to areas as they increase in intensity.
Forecasters say Monday offers the last chance to prepare for more impactful weather before two stronger storm systems arrive Tuesday into Wednesday and again Wednesday into Thursday.

Flight cancellations, delays reported at SFO due to Bay Area storm
San Francisco International Airport is being impacted by the Bay Area storm.
There have been at least 271 delays as of 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
This includes for incoming and outgoing flights, as well as flights out of the U.S.
There have been 11 canceled flights.

Flooding prompts road closures in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department announced that the Metson Road and southern entrance to Golden Gate Park’s Polo Field are closed on Monday due to flooding.
They’re warning anyone planning to visit the park to be alert as strong wind gusts can topple trees and snap limbs.

Sandbag stations are now open in San Mateo.
Residents can fill bags at three locations across the city, up to ten bags per vehicle. You do have to bring your own shovel and heavy-duty trash bags.
The locations are: The corporate yard on Pacific Boulevard, the Beresford parking lot on Alameda de las Pulgas, and the Anchor Road-Bay Trail parking lot off Anchor Road.

Flood alerts have been expanded to include the entire Bay Area by Tuesday.
The entire region will be under a Flood Watch starting Tuesday, and the alert has extended through Friday.
