Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for allegedly committing robbery at the Target store in Marin City.
The alleged crime happened at about 7 a.m. Saturday, when the suspect left the store without paying for merchandise after a credit card transaction failed, sheriff’s Lt. Brennan Collins said. The suspect also allegedly slapped away the arm of a security guard who confronted him.
Deputies arrested the suspect at a residence nearby. Andre Marcel Clark, 53, of Marin City was booked into the county jail on suspicion of robbery, attempted fraudulent use of a credit card, violating probation conditions and other offenses. He also had a warrant for his arrest for alleged theft.
Clark remained in custody Tuesday without a bail amount.
