Christmas Eve is on Wednesday, December 24th, 2025, and millions of Americans will take advantage of last-minute store runs before Christmas.
Most banks and the U.S. Postal Service will remain open on Christmas Eve, while non-emergency federal executive departments and agencies are closed on Dec. 24th this year by executive order. Some retailers and businesses will stay open on limited hours.
