The Community Housing Council of Fresno is partnering with Community West Bank and Save Mart to support three local families working toward housing stability.

The three families will receive help from the organizations on Christmas Eve.

The big picture: Each of the three families are currently working with the Community Housing Council’s counseling services to help them stabilize their housing situation.

The families will receive $500 grocery shopping experiences with the support of Community West Bank.

Save Mart is also providing each family with a Christmas tree.

Go deeper: Along with the giveaway with local families, anyone who goes to a local Save Mart or FoodMaxx location and mentions the Community Housing Council will receive a free Christmas tree, while supplies last.

What they’re saying: “This support represents more than groceries or a tree, it reflects care, dignity, and community coming together,” said Amber Castro, Executive Director of Community Housing Council. “These families are doing the hard work to regain stability, and having partners who respond with compassion makes a lasting difference.”

Castro added, “Acts like these remind families they are not alone. We are deeply grateful to both Community West Bank and Save Mart for stepping in so quickly to help make this holiday brighter.”
