Dec. 24 and 25 are some restaurants’ most coveted reservations of the year 

From take-out options to lavish hotel brunches, multi-course dinners and more, Christmas Eve and Day dining in Los Angeles promises lots of flavor and holiday cheer. Read on below to see where to dine.  

The Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel

Hotel guests and Angelenos can find a flavorsome three-course Christmas Eve dinner from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at The Blvd featuring dishes like French onion soup, herb-crusted lamb loin and ginger créme brûlée, while Dec. 25 feasting takes place from noon to 9 p.m. with roasted prime rib, seared scallops and more. Over at CUT by Wolfgang Puck, the lounge becomes a winter lodge from 5 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 24 for its four-course experience complete with filet mignon, wagyu tallow fries and more. 

The Culver Hotel

For a historical spirit flowing throughout your holiday festivities, the 101-year-old Culver Hotel tantalizes with a family-style prime rib feast on Dec. 25 from noon to 8 p.m. with mashed potatoes, creamed corn, grilled broccolini and chocolate fondant accompanying its main attraction dish. Diners can also join the night before for a la carte chef’s specials.

Chef Helene An and team make Christmas Eve one to remember with a number of a la carte specials. Instead of your usual garlic noodle order, consider the silk truffle artichoke soup, five-spice, dry-aged duck and upside-down early grey apple pudding. The last seating is at 8:30 p.m.

On Dec. 24 and 25, Costa Covo Osteria serves a seasonal prix fixe featuring winter squash, prime ribeye and a dessert buffet, among other dishes.

Malibu Beach Inn

The oceanfront hotel’s Carbon Beach Club restaurant pairs astounding Pacific Views with a three-course prix fixe available from 4 to 9 p.m. on Christmas Day. Making way to a caramel corn panna cotta finale, other dishes include a roasted garlic and artichoke tartine and scallops au poivre. 

Marea Beverly Hills

Experience Marea’s final evening of its Feast of the Seven Fishes offering on Dec. 24. Honoring the Italian tradition, the menu showcases branzino tartare with pistachio and Calabrian chili, lobster with burrata and tomato, Dungeness crab pappardelle, and red wine–braised octopus fusilli.

Inside the Sandbourne Santa Monica, chef Raphael Lunetta treats diners to best-in-class coastal California cuisine for Christmas Eve. Highlights include oysters, rack of lamb, cauliflower gratin and tiramisu with a gingersnap crust.

Festivities start early in the day at 1 Kitchen on both Dec. 24 and 25, where brunch is served from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to its regular menu, set your sights on the gingerbread pancakes and country eggs benedict that come with a cheddar chive biscuit. Then, on both evenings starting at 4 p.m., Juniper Lounge presents dinner with two specials: braised beef short rib with Yukon mashed potatoes and green peppercorn creme fraiche and sticky toffee egg nog pudding cake. 

Redbird

With an optional wine pairing, DTLA Angelenos can head to Redbird on Dec. 24 for a three-course dinner with options like hamachi crudo, beef tartare, black truffle cappelletti, honeynut squash, Liberty Farms duck breast and milk chocolate mousse with pistachio cake and orange marmalade.

From the 24th floor, Sendero serves a sumptuous Christmas Day brunch with an array of culinary stations featuring a sushi and raw bar, California cheese and charcuterie, prime rib and slow roasted leg of lamb, roasted porchetta, Peking duck, dim sum, omelets and waffles and plenty of sweets.

Teleféric Barcela dashes Spanish flavors into Christmas dishes (Dec. 4-26), adding vibrant dishes like Fiesta Paella with beef tomahawk and lobster and Spanish ramen with cocido broth and chorizo for a limited time.

Elevate at-home dining by entrusting the professionals. Bib Gourmand-rated Komal has you covered for tamales (rojo, verse, leche, chuchito) with the last call to order on Dec. 21 for pick-up on Dec. 22 and 23. For a lavish spread, Rossoblu’s seven-course dinner to go is inclusive of a savory spinach ricotta tart, hand-folded tortellini, breaded veal cutlet and Italian cookies, among other dishes. Meanwhile, Loreto’s four-person mariscos take-home dinner delights with branzino, Thumbelina carrots with labneh, a Santa Canela pecan pie, a bottle of wine and more. For grocery store ease, Gelson’s has a variety of meal offerings available to pre-order until Dec. 22, ranging from a prime rib dinner for two to eight people to a roasted turkey dinner for 12.
