WB Hwy. 58 fully closed near Mojave due to flooding, other roads affected due to weather

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Westbound Highway 58 is fully closed at Exit 172 near Mojave to Cameron Canyon Road east of Tehachapi due to flooding and debris on the road, said Caltrans.

There is no estimated time of reopening yet. Caltrans is assessing the potential damage once conditions allow. The road remains closed between Mojave and Cameron Canyon Road as of 10:30 a.m. as Caltrans crews continue to clean up the area.

Additionally, Exit 165, located north of Mojave, is also closed. Caltrans notes that there is no direct westbound route from Mojave to Tehachapi.
